Each sign is individually handmade by Mia Studio Art, combining personalised lettering with carefully painted details to create a special keepsake for a child’s bedroom, nursery or a thoughtful gift for someone special.

Unlike printed designs, every decorative element is hand-painted, making each sign unique. We work closely with you throughout the process to achieve a design that captures the spirit of your chosen reference while allowing for the artistic adjustments needed to create a beautiful handmade result.

Product Details

• Personalisation: Custom name with a hand-painted decorative element based on your chosen reference.
• Approximate size: 22–29 cm in length and 10–17 cm in height, depending on the design and proportions of the name.
• Material: 6 mm thick poplar plywood.
• Layered construction: Additional wooden layers may be used where required by the design, creating depth and a more distinctive finish.
• Finish: Individually handmade, with hand-painted decorative details.
• Made to order: Each sign is created especially for you.

How to Order Your Bespoke Sign

Step 1 – Send us your inspiration

Email a photo of the decorative element you’d like us to recreate to miaraystudio@gmail.com. Please choose the clearest image possible, with good resolution and visible details.

Step 2 – Design assessment and quotation

We’ll review your image to check whether its resolution and details are suitable for hand-painting on a wooden sign. We’ll then advise you on the proposed design, approximate dimensions and construction, together with a personalised quotation.

Step 3 – Approve your quote

If you’re happy with the proposed design, specifications and price, we’ll confirm the details with you so you can proceed with your purchase through our website.

Step 4 – Handmade creation

Once your order is confirmed, we’ll begin creating your sign. We’ll work with you throughout the process, discussing any necessary adjustments to the painted details to achieve the best possible result.

A Little Note About Handmade Designs

Please remember that a hand-painted sign is an artistic interpretation of your reference image, not a photographic reproduction. Fine details may need to be simplified, adapted or adjusted to suit the size of the sign, the wooden surface and the painting process.

These small variations are part of the charm of a handmade piece and mean that every sign has its own individual character. We aim to capture the essential features of your chosen design while ensuring that the finished sign works beautifully as a personalised wooden piece.

Bespoke Orders – Important Information

As each bespoke sign is designed and made specifically for you, custom-made and personalised signs are non-refundable and cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
